Qualifications Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Why water for losing weight Hi I read the article on weight loss via water but have also heard that water helps out more with your metabolism. Your body doesn't break down the water so I was wondering why it helps? thanks a bunch |

The more you drink, the more likely your body will flush out excess water it holds. The less you drink; the more your body will try and retain water to keep bodily functions stable. |

Qualifications Avid Bodybuilding Reader Transformationed Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Re: Why water for losing weight Also....make sure the water to cool or cold or iced. In order for you body to use the water for normal processes (We are 70% water), the body has to heat up the water first....which uses energy....which uses fat. |

Qualifications Nutritionist Personal Trainer I've Been to the Gym | Re: Why water for losing weight I wrote an article on water intake and fat loss that will be in my e book that's coming out shortly (YAY!). Some of the reasons it's important for fat loss: -If you don't drink adequate water your kidneys will dump their workout on the liver, which is then less able to metabolize fat -it helps the endocrine gland function properly. This will cause more fat to be used as fuel. -Drinking water actually decreases fluid retention. When we don’t drink enough water the body will store as much as it can under the skin. -Water also helps maintain proper muscle tone by assisting muscles with their natural ability to contract.
