I haven't been getting the gains I am looking for and I'm trying to switch things up that I might be doing wrong. A friend recently told me that it is bad to work out every day and that I am sacrificing my gains. Is it true that it is bad to work out every day? How often should I be working out? Why did he say it is bad to work out every day? thanks a lot -newbie |

However, it is fine to train your arms one day and train your legs the next. Even still, you should leave a day or two each week for not training and just resting.

Qualifications Personal Trainer Avid Bodybuilding Reader Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Re: How Often Should I Work Out? It's impossible to work a muscle group once a week. For example, you may work your lats once a week, but when you do benches, your lats get KILLED. Which is why I recommend only doing 1 exerise for each muscle group. You should be getting more rest days then lifting days. Your diet should be ideal as well. A good routine you could follow is by Frankie NY. Day 1 - Push Bench Press Military Press Dips Day 3 - Pull Deadlifts Bent Over Rows Chins Day 5 - Legs Squat Stiff-Leg Deadlifs Hanging Leg Raises. Good luck with your training bud. |
