I think the Standing Overhead Press is better because it requires the use of your core as well. Also as mentioned you will be able to do more weight.

But another reason is you can do a push-press (overhead press with leg drive) as well which will let you get more weight up. Say you pleateu at 100lbs OHP. If you add leg drive, you should be able to get more weight up. Do this for a few weeks then go back to the standing overhead press and you should be able to do more weight.
