Good Bench

Do you think 285 for a Senior is good i weigh 180 height is 6'1" ? What is considered for GREAT for me?

Weight has nothing on form/speed/# of sets at that weight

Max bench is highly overrated for a bber looking for mass

Ideally, I read that you should be able to do 1.5 times your bodyweight, so you're in good shape from that standpoint. However, previously mentioned, you want to make sure you have adequate form. I also I recommend concentrating on the negative movement of the press. By that, lowering the weight down slowly to put the muscles under stress.

that is good weight for you and your body stature. of course form is the most important thing. any person that bounces the weight on their chest is just a puss trying to impress somebody

Personally i think thats quite good bro ......and to big g tru that man!! form is everything.....half the ppl in my weight class just arch there back so they only go down like 2 inches or bounce the hell outa the weight

285 lbs. on bench is decent for a guy 180 lbs. You're considered GREAT when you can bench twice your body weight.

You're probably ahead of most guys in your weight room though. Because yeah, that is GOOD.
