Re: Ectomorphic Training

What's up man, for building muscle, you are going to want to have about 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per 1 pound of bodyweight, and I'm doubting that you are 50ish pounds

As for age, you are actually at a prime time for making gains, your hormones are off the charts as an older teen, you just need to get your diet and workout going and the testosterone pumpin.

Re: Ectomorphic Training

I am a transformed ectomorph. I was 135pounds when I started to lift at age 15, young I know but it seems like you are in the same boat. I couldn't gain weight no matter how hard I tried. I got stronger and more lean, but never gained weight. Pretty much for the first year all I did was read everything I could: books, forums, posts, articles, magazines, and whatever else had bb in it. I learned as much as I could and I still learn everyday.

I used to lift for 1.5-2 hours a day cause I thought more was better. Doing 18 sets on a chest day, 26 sets on a leg day and so on....Pretty much over training.
The thing you need to do is EAT a shit load of good food. Balanced Diet. Also you should train less, Ectomorph = less is more in the gym. Also you want to do heavy sets, low reps to throw on the mass, your diet needs to be in check though or you will never gain mass.

Read this article I wrote June of 2005.
