I take lots of supplements, but none that are designed to help add muscle mass. There are two that improve stamina and recovery time so you can work out harder (indirectly helping add strength) but nothing specifically designed to jack up muscles like creatine or osmething.

I'd like to consider taking something that directly grows muscles, but it has to be 100% natural / organic and it has to backed up by clinical trials so I know it is both safe and effective. I know that means more money, but I'm not looking for bargains; I'm looking for the best.

what's up man

what supplements are you taking right now? the two that you mentioned? are you taking any protein shakes? on any diet? any post workout shakes/meals?

supplements can only do so much, the diet and workout are key

The two I mentioned are Overdrive and CordyMax. Cordymax is Cordyceps sinensis strain Cs-4 which (when combined with exercise helps your body get more oxygen to the muscles. Overdrive has a bunch of different vitamins and if you take it before you work out you can work out longer and harder. If you take it after you work out you recover faster. I take 2 before and 1 after.

I don't take a Protein shake exactly, but I take a diet shake that has 235 calories and 26 grams of protein (plus lots of vitamins) as a 4th or 5th meal so that's kind of my protein shake.

Then I take a multivitamin with lots of antioxidants and stuff, resihi mushroom for my immune system, green tea extract (antioxidants), cartilege, bone, Omega fatty acids sometimes eye or probiotic supplements. Also an awesome Gac fruit drink, and an aloe drink. Basically I take as many supplements as I can as long as I know they work and are safe.

I guess I wouldn't mind adding something that adds bulk (like if I could find creatine that meets my organic and clinical trial requirements).

The "make you work out longer" part is what concerns me. Since you are interested in a supplement that jacks up you muscles, I am assuming you want to make some gains. Make sure to keep your workouts between 45 and 60 minutes for an optimal workout.

Check out this post regarding the "best & cheapest post workout meal"

Anyways, I suggested that thread for the use of leucine which is known to help you build strength and size. (And the oatmeal)

What is the name of your diet shake? Do you know what type of protein is in it? Regardless, if you want to put on some muscle, I would HIGHLY recommend the Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey (Chocolate) protein shake. It is 24? grams of whey protein which is the best for post workout because it is digested quickly to get to your muscles asap.

For the best results, you will want to follow that post and get the stuff into your system right after working out - assuming you won't puke

I have never tried the ergopharm stuff that is why i recommended the ON 100% Whey

Good luck man!

AS for natural supplements try using arginine for a natural muscle pump. Take 3000mg a day. Try laoding up on amino acids casue they are the building blocks of protein all the way down to the cellular level. HMB is another supplement to add size naturally. Studies show it helped beginners a lot so it might not be right for you. Amino acids are key so if I were you i would hit em hard especially leucine and glutamine. good luck
