Qualifications Avid Bodybuilding Reader Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Drinking a Protein Shake Before Working Out I usually have a protein shake sometime during the day, and then I will sometimes want to work out soon after. If I don't wait long enough in between, though, for an intense workout it will make me puke, anyone else have this problem/how long do you wait? peace |

Qualifications Avid Bodybuilding Reader Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Re: Drinking a Protein Shake Before Working Out if you intake a protein shake wait at least 1 hour before you workout, and make sure you get some fat and carbs also to give you more energy durring a workout. |

I will wait 45-60 min before touching weights. On my leg day, the most intense day of my week, I tend to wait 60-70 min so I can make sure everything is settled before I train. You always have to listen to what your body tells you.
