Qualifications Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Vegetable intake The two main vegetables I eat are Carrots and Brocolli (sometimes with cheese). Now I'm mostly a carnavore but know I have to eat more vegetables but I dont have the aquired taste for them. I have about1 cup of carrots and a plate of Broccoli 3 times a week. I just wanted to know what everyone else eats and how many times (for a healthy living). Or plainly what their favorite veggie intake is or mixture (with other foods). ~Shwa' |

Qualifications Personal Trainer | Re: Vegetable intake You really want to get the whole rainbow of colors in your veggies. You can't overeat veggies. They are what I call a negative calorie. Meaning, they are so low in calories that your body actually burns more calories digesting that you ingest from them. They add bulk to your diet, and are a great low GI carb source to help you feel full when you're dieting and to eat during those times not right before or right after your weight training. I like to use mixed vegetables. I eat about 2lbs/day. |

Qualifications Nutritionist Personal Trainer Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Re: Vegetable intake I eat brocolli and carrots the most as well. Along with an occasional salad here and there & baked potatos after I work out. But, if your getting bored eating them with cheese, try stir-frying them in a different sauce. I use teriyaki --very good! |
