Qualifications Update your profile! No qualifications entered yet. | What is the point of the Body Mass Index? I was curious as to the point of the Body Mass Index? It seems almost pointless because of the differences in peoples bodies. I don't think you can judge someone's physical characteristics with just their weight and height. For instance, someone who is very muscular is not "Obese"? So who is this Body Mass Index intended for? I saw the new BMI Calculator which is still sorta fun to play with - it also mentions this flaw. |
