Qualifications Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Stretching, Flexibility, and Weight Loss I haven't read anything in specific about stretching / flexibility and losing weight, but I was wondering... Can stretching be beneficial when trying to lose weight? I know it can be beneficial when looking to gain strength but haven't thought about losing weight. I suppose if its good for gaining strength then it can help you lift / work out harder and burn more? Just a thought i had

Qualifications Personal Trainer | Re: Stretching, Flexibility, and Weight Loss Stretching is beneficial for many reasons & should be included in any weight training program. Unfortunately, it will have no effect on fat loss. |

Qualifications Transformationed | Re: Stretching, Flexibility, and Weight Loss Well I ran to lose weight,to not stretch would have been suicide.I also stretch now before bulking routine.I found out the hard way and wasnt able to train because of pulled muscles. |

Qualifications Nutritionist Personal Trainer I've Been to the Gym | Re: Stretching, Flexibility, and Weight Loss Stretching helps maintain your flexibility, which can prevent injuries. An injury could certainly sideline fat loss efforts... if you add a flexibility training component such as yoga or pilates you would be burning a few extra calories. Nothing compared to cardio or weight training though. Sarah |
