Re: What Is Your Motivation?

For me bodybuilding is not only part of my business...so I have to look good to market myself and help sell my products and services, but it is also part of my identity. Part of who I am and what I do is being a bodybuilder, and making the most of my potential and being the best I can be is the commitment I make to myself to feel successful. To do that my training is my number one priority. I hit the gym first thing in the AM before I do anything else, so I can train when I'm fresh before any of the day's stresses has distracted me. I also make sure without excuses that I get in all of my 10 meals on time withen 10 minutes. I make sure not to cheat on my diet except in the offseason during my scheduled off day from training. And, I make sure to get plenty of rest so that when I hit the gym in the morning I am mentally ready to train hard.

There are many things in life to achieve. Bodybuilding and helping others reach thier fitness goals are two of my major goals which I am committed to acheiving.

Re: What Is Your Motivation?

I use some of the profiles here at chronic fitness as a motivational tool. some I have used a few times. Not stocking. LOL. I forget about showing whos viewing. Anyhow I have 2 teenage boys who are what I call button pushers. I dont have anything against X-box 360 other than it takes up a little more time than I would like it to.How I counter this is to use the profiles, thoughts, and achievments of members here to motivate my boys.Anyone else that has button pushers at home could maybe use chronic fitness as a motivational tool.

For me it's breaking barriers. If genetics got it's way, I'd likely be 5'8" and 150lbs at most. But education and dedication has showed me "the way" to a better me.

progress keeps me motivated. I'm happy with the smallest day by day gains, so that's what I look for to keep motivated.

Thats awesome man, I'm glad you like the profiles and they are useful - that is what they were meant for.

That is another part of my motivation too actually, you connect a profile with a physique from the gallery and you can set goals of how big you want your bodyparts to look.

Soon i think there will be so many profile views that you won't be able to tell people "stalking" your profile. I dont realy think its stalking either, more of a compliment that you were interested in checking up on someones stats

Re: What Is Your Motivation?

its really hard to stay motivated as we all know. like last night i really didn't want to go, well i ended up going and i actually had a pretty descent chest workout. distractions are a set back too. my motivation comes from the way other people look at me, and ask me training and dieting advice because they too want to have a good physique. summer is also good for motivation. it pays off when you make all your friends look bad at the beach or a pool. i also get motived when i do deadlifts. the biggest guys in the gym will sit there and doubt me(in their minds) as i pull 400+ off the ground with perfect form for 10 or more reps. thats motivating to me ........mind you im only 5-8 and i weigh 175.
