Qualifications Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Can You Grow in Height from Weight Training? I know that through exercises like squats, and other large compound exercises, huge amounts of growth hormone are released. (And from general weight training). What I'm wondering is if you can grow in height any significant amount from this? Like if I wanted to get an inch or so taller, could I just dedicate myself to hard weight training and a good diet? |

Qualifications Nutritionist Looking to Learn More I've Been to the Gym | Re: Can You Grow in Height from Weight Training? Depending on your age it can or can't. If you're an adolescent and have not stopped growing, yes weight training and excercise does increase the probability you will grow taller, as you said, working out releases hormones in the body that stimulate growth and muscle recovery. If you have stopped growing, lifting and excersize does not affect height because your brain is no longer developing hormones to grow in height, but your bones do continue to grow in girth until your 30's.
