Yoga as a Core Workout

I am thinking about starting doing Yoga every other day while I do my compound exercises on the other days. I was just curious if Yoga will be a good core workout for me?

I am doing yoga mostly to become more limber but if it was a good core workout that would be great too.

Yoga can be a great core workout. It will be a good workout in general, but it also depends on what style Yoga you are doing.

I believe Power Yoga would be one of the best core work outs. Some styles of yoga probably wouldn't be as intense of a core work out, such as the ones that are more focused on meditation.
