Women vs. Men - differences in training?

On a lot of other forums I have seen a General Training forum and then a Women's training forum. However, I was wondering what the big difference is?

What kind of things are discussed in a Women's Training forum?

As far as I see it, a bicep curl is going to train a man or a women's bicep ??

Obviously this is a newbish question but I'm really curious.

Re: Women vs. Men - differences in training?

I suppose it helps the women on the forum has a community feeling about it and they can share working tips that help shape their body.

But if you want to know the biggest difference between women and men when in comes to working out is- women just can not really compare to men, biologically speaking. Or vice versa.

When girls come to me for advice, I always tell them to LIFT WEIGHTS. About 90% respond with "but I dont want to get bulky!" At that point, I either try to give them good information or I just walk away, lol. I say that because, women, genetically speaking, simply can not put on muscle mass like men no matter how hard they lift weights. All it will do is give their body amazing shape and curves. Running and pilates doesn't really give your body the resistance to grow and develop. Every girl with the best body's I have ever seen always lift weights.

Other than that, we're just about equals

It also provides an area for women to find workouts that are more likely to interest them (a popular one I've seen has been "Booty Workouts" or other such things).

Good points 71dh
