Advice on Personal Training as a Job

Any personal trainers in here, I would like to get all of your advises. I've talked to a couple other trainers, but I still need more info. on this job. I'm a senior in high school ATM, I'll be graduating in 2 months and as you can tell from my experiences listed below I want to go to school to be a personal trainer.

A couple of questions for you guys that either are trainers, or are friends with a trainer.

1) I hear there is a 1 year course out, will it still be beneficial as the others?
2) What is your salary range?
3) Would I need a back-up job just in case this doesn't workout?

I'll appreciate any replies.

Re: Advice on Personal Training as a Job

mvp, although I'm not a personal trainer I am guessing it would be best to start off doing it on the side until it picks up and you know that you can do solely personal training. From the trainers that I have met, I have seen them work in gyms as personal trainers until they have learned enough to set up their own place.

Check out this thread too, you might find it interesting

Good luck
