Fitness & Bodybuilding Magazines?

Any recommendations for magazine subscriptions to get me started on the way?

Cheers.

Re: Magazines?

Magazines are a great way to learn about your favorite and get motivated by looking at photos, but are not that good of a source of accurate training information in my opinion. It's important that mags are in business to sell mags. So, they have to come up with new and exciting articles for training all the time to keep their readers interested. What works and is effective is not that complex. Much of what's in the magazines does not have that much worth in my opinion. Just my take....don't pay much attention to what you read in there.

Re: Magazines?

Chris: Agreed.

Bullworker anyone that tells you how you should be training that's never seen you or know nothing about your stat's, that's when you shouldn't listen to them. Anyone with a knowledge of bodybuilding would know that different routines/diets/rep ranges work for different ppl. One thing I've heard but I'm not sure is 100% true is that ppl that write articles in magazines are personal trainers who couldn't get any clients so they posted all the info. in magazines.

The best magazine you can read accurate info. on is this forum.

Re: Fitness & Bodybuilding Magazines?

One of my friends loves reading Men's Health. Although I'm not a fan of many magazines because they are often filled with the exact same stuff, rewritten in different creative ways, Men's Health does have some great recipes.
