What is a "hardgainer"?

Hey guys

I know this is a n00b question but....

I have read some different thoughts about what a hardgainer is. Could anyone elaborate on what a hardgainer is?

I would throw that word out of your vocabulary. Being labeled as a hardgainer never helped anyone! Everything is relative.

Haha good point Chris. Motof, normally a 'hardgainer' is someone who has a hard time gaining mass but as Chris said, these things are relative and should not stand in your way.

Good point that labeling as such doesn't help.

My first response would be ME! Someone like me, who has a tiny frame and bone structure. I lose weight super easy without trying, even if I eat a LOT. Gaining is hard. I nearly have to eat until I throw up to gain any muscle size. I guess that would classify as gaining being hard.

Or just weight period. There are some people who simply have a terribly difficulty gaining weight period. I have to eat really bad in order to gain any fat. Not that I want to gain fat!
