What is aspartame and what does it have to do with weight loss? The sparkling water I have jsut started to drink has it in it? Are we to say that it's bad for weight loss?

Yes I am quoting my own self...for I think I have found the answer.....and it bugs me....

esp when I like the 'flavored' water drinks.

This is what I found - Aspartame Side Effects

A note to all....

Do not buy the Walmart / Sam's Choice Clear American Naturally Flavored Sparkilng Water Beverages......loaded with this stuff....although the are cheap to buy/get.....bad for you due to aspartame.....grrrrr arghhhh

I'm glad you put this on here. we started buying fruit20 for my daughters b/c they don't actually like just plain water, but i'm getting rid of that right now. that's scary..geez! does anybody have any suggestions on flavored water that doesn't contain aspartame and isn't carbonated?
Geez - or maybe it's just best to buy water add some lemon & maybe like 1/2 a packet of splenda, huh?

I would do that because then you know exactly what is going into your body. I usually go with the theory that the less ingrediants the better.
