Re: Calorie Intake

I am BULKING, but I am doing it really Clean this time around. Chicken Brown Rice, Fish, Whole Wheat, Oatmeal, Veggies, Fruit, Almonds, Eggs, Milk, Cottage Cheese, Peanut Butter. Thats pretty much all I will eat in a day. gets boring but works. I am gaining about .5 to 1.5 pounds per week which is where I wanted to be. my BF is 10% at the moment, but I want to get up to about 12%.

Re: Calorie Intake

I think the max I take in daily is 2000 calories, maybe 2200. Girls don't need as much to maintain. When training for a show (figure) I keep it between 1500 & 1700.

Re: Calorie Intake

I am currently aiming to lose weight. According to the UK Government, an normal male calorie consumption is 2,500 a day (32.4% fat calories). I'm guessing that I just about break 1,500 a day and certainly aim for less than 10% fat calories)

Re: Calorie Intake

Hey Everyone, calorie intake also depends on your weight. I am currently sitting at 147 really lean my contest weight last two weeks ago at weighins was 136.5. If I was to stay at this weight I would try to eat very clean no sugars, breads or pastas and stay away from the fatter cuts of beef, any loin is great and round steaks. Rule of thumb generally for guys to start dieting is 15 calories per pound with a 50/50 split of protein and carbs and to bulk a starting calorie intake of 18 calories per pound up to 25. For girls starting out dieting depending on muscle mass and cardio they can start dieting at 10 calories per pound to 13 calories per pound. I started this year at 170 with 15% BF for my diet and my calorie level was set at 2600 to start for me I know its sound high for some of you but you take all factors in my lean mass was sitting at 141. You have to have a professional do the BF and mass test to start you off. The rest all lies on you and what you are willing to do. Hope that this helps some.

Re: Calorie Intake

I usually try to get between 2,000 and 3,000 calories per day, although I'm cutting back a little bit b/c I'm trying to diet for the summer. Make no mistake about it, I LOVE to eat.
