Egg whites and gas..

This is a funny question, but I have seen that others have the same problem. The problem being that after having a large amount of egg whites you get a lot of gas.

Anyone found a solution or a cure for this? heh

Gas problems are usually caused by having air trapped in our digestive system. When food enters into your intestines, bacteria goes to work digesting and food and, in the process, produce gas. The problem is that some carbohydrates do not digest in the small intestine and move to the large intestine, where the bacteria must work and release more gas.......which only has one way to exit. As for your case, it may be that your intestine cannot handle large amount of egg whites. If not, then check to see if you have an ulcer or GERD. Hope this helps.

I have never used it, but I have heard of a product called Beano. It helps to keep gas down. I haven't looked into its place in your diet yet though. Might want to check that out.

I take papaya enzymes to help with digestion. Maybe that could help.I dont know. Some foods just dont agree with you.

it is simple science when the enzymes break down foods some of them give off gas. some foods gas dont smell some make you want to rip your nose off. eating baked beans are famous for the smell that they make. egg whites are no different it also can be lack of enzymes to digest your food

I too have problems with all forms of Eggs. Not only gas....but diarehha as well....but only from that meal and it clears up by lunch time. I think that Eggs just no longer agree with me .... The body does change as you get older....for instance...my alergy to shellfish has gotten worse from when I was a child (and use to eat it) to today where I can even be in the same area as it....the 'smell' of make me gag now....well...more like the smell causes me to not be able to breathe very well....tends to happen when you throat is closing.... LOL
