Tattoos in Bodybuilding Contests

hey there
i was just curious as to the roll of tattoos in bodybuilding competitions. Do many bodybuilders have them if any?

It seems like they could be used to help show some muscle, but i guess it could significantly detract from your appearance

I think it's in the eye of the beholder. I think the smaller tattoos on the delts or back don't detract, but if you're covered in tattos it probably takes away from the muscular tone appearance in my opinion.

I know there's nothing wrong with having a tattoo when someone is weight lifting or getting more bulky, but I was under the impression that if someone has a tattoo it would get stretched out and disfigured from its original form.

they do get strentched out my uncle went from 18in arms to 24 inch arms after he came out of prison( before he left he had a sweet ass tat of the grim reaper that took his whole upper arm to elbow ) after he got out it looked like shit

ohmyword! sorry, that makes me laugh, b/c i'm trying to imagine how mine might change. luckily, there won't be that much change in my arm size..impossible...and my are pretty standard symmetrical..so hopefully it'd be like blowin' up a picture and wouldn't be too awful to look at...but dang, i get ur uncles was kinda ticked. tats aren't cheap.

Pretty much when your all tan up on stage, this is if you come in dark, it won't be too visable. That is saying it is not a color tattoo. Lee Priest is a good example of a bodybuilder with tats. He has a nascar tat on his shoulder, and you can barley see it when he is on stage.
