Personal Trainers: How many active clients do you have?

hi

the title explains it all, how many clients do you all have? the ones that are active and currently coming to you, not over all?

or, you can answer how many your whole gym has, as a collection of all the trainers? rough estimates are fine.

please post what you voted (just you or whole gym)

peace!

I have under 11. I do not work full time for a gym, but the gym I work at has 4 trainers, not including myself. I only work with 3 people. I have another full-time job as well, and only work the kind of dedicated people I want to work with. I also do some online training programs for folks as well as custome diets.

Re: Personal Trainers: How many active clients do you have?

All,
I have a part time personal training service, where I am at the gym six days a week for about two to three hours a day. Right now I have a total of 20 active direct clients who I train personally one on one, plus a team of bodybuilders and fitness and figure models that I train as a group (it saves me time and helps them to stay focused and motivated as they are all preparing for contests and they train under my supervision, sometimes directly, but mostly I will tell them what to do and how I want it done, and they train while I am at the gym with my other clients so I can see what they are up to- I also take care of their diets and eating plans). That team is now twelve strong.

(Some of my one on one clients are competitors as well, but they prefer the one on one attention.) Then I have five online clients, that I train online- I send them their routines and diets based on photographic feedback that they send to me over the internet, and I am surprised at how effective it has been.

So in total I am now officially training 37 people, which is not my highest number, (and I won't count the other two dozen or so that I give training and detary advice to over the course of a week, since they are not paying clients.) The holidays are coming and this is actually the beginning of my slow period. It isn't easy, but to me there re few things more rewarding than seeing someone realize the body and state of physical fitness that they always dreamed of having.

I chose 11-20. It's hard to tell for sure, because people don't tend to actually say that they are done and want to start working on their own. I also have some clients who are just nutrition clients, so my total client number is different.

I'm self employed, and own my own gym (with no employees except me), so I don't have a number to compare.

Re: Personal Trainers: How many active clients do you have?

I haven't trained anyone for about 4 years. I only accepted about 5 people at a time because I liked challenging clients. I specialized in body transformation, diet and endurance training.
