Qualifications Personal Trainer Avid Bodybuilding Reader | Re: College Football 2006 I personally like the BCS + 1 thought that has been pushed around by the College Game Day crew. If you put that scenario in perspective this year, it would likely pin Michigan and OSU back into the National Championship game. We got lucky last year when Texas and USC met at the Rose Bowl because there was no contraversy on who should be there. In the end, the best team one. I do think that the best team is OSU this year and they shouldn't have a tough time with Florida. It's still hard for me to swollow UF getting into the big game, but they did win their conference. I think that's the only argument that I can accept for them being there. TEX

Qualifications Personal Trainer | Re: College Football 2006 Aside from my obvious bias being a Michigan fan, I do love the BCS and certainly enjoy talking shop about who should be where. It provides a lot of entertrainment, and the controversy gives these guys something to discuss. But, the bottom line is the point is to put the best teams in there. In that sense, the top 10 teams in the country should be in the BCS, but that's not the case. Due to the voters effect on games, and automatice bids for conference titles, teams get in that don't really deserve. Although Wake Forest did win the ACC & you must give them credit for that, are they really a good team...no. They are gonna get killed by Louisville. And Notre Dame only got in becasue of their popularity. They haven't beaten anyone of consequence. The only two top tens teams they played are Michigan & USC, and they lost to both by more than 21 points. I can't see them faring too well against LSU either. And, the best two teams should be in the National Title game. The only reason Michigan isn't is because no one wants to see a rematch, but I think most agree Michigan is the second best team in the nation. The bottom line is the system is and will remain flayed until a playoff is in place. |

We have stats, power ratings, computer ratings, coaches evaluations and all sorts of data. But there are certain factors we can never gage. How about human error or performance on any given day! Only way to know is to pair them up on a certain day at a certain time! |

Qualifications Personal Trainer | Re: College Football 2006 There's only one thing I like better than seeing Michigan win....and that's watching OSU lose! But you gotta hand it to Florida. They played great. I'm still not sure they're the best team, but they knocked off #1 so they deserve it. I was surprised how OSU tried to attachk Florida. I thought they should have lined up in more power sets and run up the middle on Florida's undersized d-line. But, that's not the offense they ran all year. And Florida's speed up front was too much. Well...can't wait for next year. I'm already counting the days. Michigan should be in the top 3 preseason getting back most of the offense including Henne, Hart, & Manningham. Florida and USC are likely to be up there as well. Hope they learn how to defend the pass & put a liking on OSU this year without Troy Smith! |

Qualifications Personal Trainer Avid Bodybuilding Reader | Re: College Football 2006 With UF's returning team for 2007, they will be tough to beat. It looks like they're biggest problem will be who starts at QB. They have Tebow, who is a much better runner than passer, and they have the #1 QB recruit in the nation reporting in June. Brantley passed for over 6,000 yards, committed to Texas, decommitted, and then told everyone that he has always been a Gator. Oof... teenagers. TEX
