Also, if I'm not mistaken, do they have a new quarterback?
No, Miami will bring back QB Kyle Wright who will be a junior this year and his second full year as the starter. I think you will see a big improvement from him this year. But, due to suspensions, Miami will be missing a number of players including a starting linebacker and reciever in that game against Louisville.

I like Texas too, but they will be tested early this year against Ohio St. But, it is in Austin this year. I think this season is wide open...no clear favorite. I don't see anyone going undefeated this year.

I agree with Chris; I think it'll be a miracle for any team to go undefeated this year. I know it's difficult to go undefeated in the SEC mainly because there are so many talented teams (Auburn, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Alabama.........So. Carolina is coming up).

Texas is the defending champs, so I know they'll defend their crown. I don't see any Big 12 teams giving them any problems.

Really, you think the Big 10 is dismal? They have four teams in the top 20 & the pre-season #1. The Big 10 is always tough & a lot of teams have some big early out-of-conference games like Michigan at Notre Dame, Penn St v Notre Dame(in State College), and Ohio St at Texas. I'm sure the Big 10 will represent in the BCS at the end of the year and will have a strong year.....they always do.

I agree that the Big 10 is a tough conference. Michigan, Penn State, and Ohio State alway have tough teams. Also, Michigan St. and Wisconsin are good. The Ohio St. vs. Texas game will be a good one.

Re: College Football 2006

what i meant is that the Big 10, running the traditional bread and butter plays, can't compete to some of the more exciting shows out there and are such broadcasted. Nothing like seeing a game in the bighouse, though.

Also, U of M has been on a HUGE decline over the last few years... Henne is one of the slowest QBs I have ever seen and whenever i hear this guy talk, it puts me on the verge of denouncing my Wolverine heritage.

Plus OSU is #1... haha, maybe thats where my hatred is coming from after all.....

LOL, I hear ya bro! Being originally from Ann Arbor I feel your pain. Michigan is the winningest program in college football, so it's hard for us to watch them be not so dominant. But, their bad year is a good year for most other teams. Who else is a top 25 team every single year even we they "suck"?

You think Henne is slow...don't you remember Navarre? That boy had slow feet. Henne actually has decent speed, just no quickness. But, that's what Michigan recruits are big drop back passers.....& that's what the NFL wats too(Navarre, Hensen, Brady, Griese, Collins, Grback).

Keep in mind last time everyone thought Michigan was down though in '97 & ya know what happened....National title! They'll be back. They have Henne, Hart, Breaston, & Manningham all back on offense & will have a balanced attack. They just need to lock down that defense. But, they did get the number one linebacker recruit in the country.

And don't think the Big 10 isn't exciting. There are a lot of teams that run a more open offense now. Northwestern & Purdue both run the shotgun 4-wide offense. OSU with Troy Smith will run the option & run the ball w/ the QB as well as Wisconson. And, don't count out Iowa, there a preseason #18 & Drew Tate can throw & run as well. They will have an exciting offense too. The Big 10 should be neither bad, nor boring this year! But us Michigan fans will still hate on OSU till we die!!!
