Personal Workout Music vs Gym Music

Personal Workout Music vs Gym Music

Quote:
Some of the best motivation in your workout can come from music. However, often the music provided by the gym sucks if you are at a club which has a very large range of clients. A great alternative to this is to bring your own music.
Not an informational article - just provides idea to use mp3 player.

What are your favorite songs to work-out or get pumped to?

Trance, Static X, some more metal, and some more trance fuels my intensity

Re: Personal Workout Music vs Gym Music

I haven't been that much into listening to music while training. My football coach wouldn't let us listen to music during our workouts. I suppose it was for mental focus or something, so music hasn't been a necessity for me in the gym.

That's an interesting approach, I would expect a lot of music to get pumped up and psyched for games.

I'll attach my playlist when I'm home with songs.

Some of my traditional ones

1. Eye of the Tiger - Survivor
2. Metallica
3. Slipknot

Oh man, "Eye of the Tiger" is a good one! Now I gotta put that on my iPod haha. I dont mosly listen to heavy metal or rock much but i've found that Marilyn Manson, Ozzy Ozbourn and Metallica have some songs that can are fun to listen to when I work out.

Theres nothing else out there that gets me pumped up as much as some kick ass rock. I usually listen to chevelle, tool, bush, linkin park, trapt.. and a whole bunch more. I cant stand not having my ipod in the gym.. i have a fit when i leave it in my car.

I like to listen to the harder stuff like Soilwork, Sevendust, and In Flames. The music is so aggressive that it keeps my demeanor correct for my workout.
