Full Range of Motion (ROM) is very very important. I am a fitness consultant right now at golds gym while i wait for my law enforcement job anyway I work there 12 hours a day almost and train there about 1 and a half a day so total im in the gym alot and 3 inches is a huge difference anyone go to a bench press incline or flat and load the bar with a weight and stop 3 inches from your chest then take the same weight and do a full ROM and you will see and feel the difference. working at a gym i see some weird stuff and the guys who do that half rep stuff have ego problems and ILS( invisible lat syndrome) If you have shoulder injuries bad enough were you cant do a full ROM then maybe benching with free weights aint for you. Im not tryin to start a fight but I just dont want som 16 year old to think sacrificing weight for form and ROM is ok its not. |
