Is it true that it is bad to work out every day? How often should I be working out?

Why did he say it is bad to work out every day?

thanks a lot

You shouldn't be working out the same muscles every day - definitely not. After you lift, your muscles are broken down and need time to recover, that is when they grow. If you lift multiple days in a row, you are not giving your muscles time to heal and you are wasting your time.

However, it is fine to train your arms one day and train your legs the next. Even still, you should leave a day or two each week for not training and just resting.
