How to Put on Mass - Ectomorph

Hey all

I have a few friends who are very clearly ectomorphs. They are diligent in their workouts and eat a pretty decent amount but just don't make huge gains. They stay really cut (which is cool and all, but I think they want to gain some size).

What should I recommend to my ectomorph friends to put on a lot of mass? Eat like there's no tomorrow?

Is there any type of food they should consume a particular amount of (protein / carb / fat)?
