To gain weight you would want to eat 5 - 6 large meal a day containing 1 meal every 2 - 3 hours.

To lose weight you do much similar. You eat 5 - 6 small meals per day contraining 1 meal every 2 - 3 hours.

If you don't mood eat which will cause you to over-stuff yourself and just snack on small groups of healthy foods you will begin to lose weight.
