| Re: Drinking a Protein Shake Before Working Out I eat a meal/drink a shake before I lift always. I will wait 45-60 min before touching weights. On my leg day, the most intense day of my week, I tend to wait 60-70 min so I can make sure everything is settled before I train. You always have to listen to what your body tells you.
