To achieve the lower ridge sculpt on your chest, use a combination of Decline
Presses with a wide-variety of cable exercises. Many have had some success with
Barbell Presses on the decline bench. Make sure the decline angle is not too
big to prevent lot of stress
from shifting to your arms and your delts. For best results
use a shoulder-width grip and keep your arms in close to your sides.
Form is key. Occasionally mix
things up with Decline Dumbbell Presses to stretch the pecs and put more work
on your stabilizers. Using various Cable Crossover and Cable Fly movements to
finish your chest off is beneficial. The constant
tension that cables provide is incredibly helpful in developing
a well rounded chest.
Be sure not to work against
this continuous tension by jerking
through the exercise or by swinging body momentum
into the movements. Strict and smooth form is very important. |
